We had lots of fun going to Carrigaline Playground last week. It was a long walk there and back but we had so much fun. The children were so excellent remembering all the rules of the road. We can't wait to go back again!
As we are completing a project in class to create our own newspaper we decided to be newsreaders for the day. We had lots of fun using the microphones and had a Newsreader, Sports reporter, Meteorologist and Field reporter.
We were recently learning about money in maths class. To help us understand the concept better we created our very own shop. It was great fun.
We had lots of fun learning about the different counties in Ireland and the different types of weather. We became weather forecasters for the day and had a great time.
For the month of September it was 1st class A's turn to design some work to display on the Equality and Justice Board in the corridor. We based our work on the idea that we are all unique and have different qualities and strengths to bring to the class but when we work together we create something even more beautiful. Have a look at our class jigsaw!
In 1st class A we have been learning about all the signs of Autumn. We are so lucky that lots of children brought in fascinating things for our Bord Dúlra. Look at all the fun we had exploring all the seeds, leaves and flowers.
Just as a note from myself I would like to welcome all parents and children back to school and into 1st Class A. We are so excited about all the brilliant things the year ahead will bring and we will share some of this journey on our blog for you all to see. Susan-Kate
